I went with a tropical theme for the colors and illustrations, which is inspired by the calming experience of being outside in nature.

Takeaways
This project gave me a great opportunity to deep dive into Figma, UX/UI Design, and illustration. All welcome challenges. The project proved overall successful since people felt invited and encouraged into the app when they used the prototype.
However, after many months of UX design research, I still didn't get everything I needed to make a concise design. Turns out R&D is hard with only one person. Next time, I would approach things simpler - probably have less features.
